The new product, Loctite Liofol CS 7106 RE, is part of Henkel's RE line of adhesives and coatings. This cold-seal coating was developed specifically for barrier-coated paper. It provides a strong, durable bond without the need for heat while maintaining the packaging's recyclability. It is suitable for use on high-speed production lines.

The new technology can be used for packaging heat-sensitive food products (e.g., snacks, desserts, ice cream) and for various secondary packaging options. The absence of heat during the packaging process fully preserves all product qualities, and mechanical stress on the packaging material remains minimal. Combined with modern barrier coatings developed for paper, this results in high-quality, functional packaging that is recyclable.
